Chilhowie, VA (January 9, 2025) – A tragic single-vehicle crash on Loves Mill Rd in Smyth County has claimed the life of a local man, according to the Virginia State Police (VSP). The incident occurred on Sunday at approximately 12:30 PM.
The victim, identified as 68-year-old Timmie Stokes of Chilhowie, was transported to a nearby hospital following the crash. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries on Monday.
