Chestnuthill Township, PA (October 11, 2024) – A tragic incident occurred early Thursday morning, October 10 when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Route 115. State police reported that the man was found unresponsive around 4:30 a.m. in the middle of the roadway. Investigators determined that he had been hit by a vehicle, and unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The Monroe County coroner’s office identified the victim as a 57-year-old man from Chestnuthill Township. Due to ongoing notifications to family members, the coroner’s office has not yet released his name. An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday to determine the exact cause of death.
