Chattanooga, TN (March 4, 2025) – A tragic accident on Hixson Pike resulted in the death of one person and injuries to another.
The collision occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. in the 6400 block of Hixson Pike, prompting a response from the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) and Hamilton County EMS. Upon arrival, officers found one person suffering from life-threatening injuries.
Medics transported the injured individual to a local hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased. The victim was identified as the driver of a Nissan 370, which had been traveling north on Hixson Pike before it crossed into oncoming traffic and struck the front of a BMW X5.
The driver of the BMW sustained injuries but was able to seek medical attention in a personal vehicle. CPD’s Traffic Unit responded to investigate the crash, and authorities continue working to determine what led to the collision. Our thoughts are with those affected by this tragic accident.
