Charles County, MD (September 5, 2024) – A tragic accident claimed the life of a pedestrian on Wednesday when a dump truck struck him near Middletown Rd and Lexington Dr. According to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, the man, believed to be around 30 years old, was walking close to the intersection when the dump truck hit him.

Emergency services arrived quickly, but the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the dump truck remained at the site and cooperated with authorities.
