Chambers County, TX (September 27, 2024) – A motorcycle crash involving an off-duty Harris County deputy occurred Thursday afternoon while he was conducting an escort. The incident took place just before 4 p.m. on a roadway between Winnie and Anahuac.
According to the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office, the deputy was struck head-on by a pickup truck during the escort. Emergency responders transported him to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez provided an update on social media, expressing optimism about the deputy’s condition. He stated, “Great news. Upon arrival at the hospital, his prognosis is much better.
