Preventing Intersection Accidents in Missouri
Intersection collisions, like the one at Hwy 32 and CR 3500, are common in rural areas where limited visibility can increase risks. Failure to stop at posted signs remains a leading cause of accidents at such locations.
Missouri safety officials recommend these practices to reduce the likelihood of crashes:
- Approach intersections with caution and come to a complete stop at all posted signs.
- Check thoroughly for cross-traffic and ensure the roadway is clear before proceeding.
- Adhere to right-of-way rules and remain vigilant, especially in rural areas with less predictable traffic patterns.
Accidents at intersections can result in significant injuries, financial strain, and emotional distress.
