Cassville, WI (February 15, 2025) – A Cuba City man was killed in a head-on collision on County Highway U near Black Jack Rd in Waterloo Township on Saturday morning.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office reported that the crash occurred just before 8:00 a.m. amidst snow-covered and slippery road conditions.
According to the investigation, a Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 20-year-old Potosi man was traveling east on County Highway U, approaching the bridge over the Grant River. At the same time, a Honda Accord driven by 54-year-old Craig Hendrickson was heading west.
Authorities stated that the vehicles collided on the deck of the bridge. Following the impact, the Silverado overturned and came to rest on its roof in the westbound lane, while the Honda Accord came to rest on the southeast side of the bridge.
Hendrickson sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Potosi man was evaluated by EMS but did not require hospitalization.
The crash remains under investigation by local authorities.
