Cass County, ND (November 21, 2024) – Two individuals were injured in a rear-end collision on Interstate 29 near the 19th Avenue exit on Tuesday evening, November 19. The crash occurred at approximately 10:34 p.m.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a Toyota Highlander traveling northbound on I-29 was rear-ended by a Ford Maverick. The impact caused the Ford Maverick to come to a stop in Lane 2, facing south, while the Toyota Highlander came to rest facing north on the east shoulder of the roadway.
The occupants of the Ford Maverick, a 74-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman, both from Hillsboro, sustained injuries in the crash. Emergency responders, including Sanford Ambulance personnel, treated the injured individuals at the scene before transporting them to Sanford Fargo for further medical care. The driver of the Toyota Highlander was reportedly uninjured.
