Cass County, MO (January 14, 2025) – A two-vehicle accident occurred Monday afternoon, January 13, on I-49 near mile marker 164, leading to injuries and significant damage to one vehicle. The crash happened around 3:50 PM and involved a 2014 Chevrolet and a 2007 Pontiac.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred when the Chevrolet, driven by a 24-year-old man from Adrian, attempted to pass the Pontiac, driven by a 35-year-old man from Harrisonville. During the maneuver, the Chevrolet struck the driver’s side of the Pontiac, causing it to veer off the roadway and overturn.
The Chevrolet driver was uninjured and able to drive away from the scene. The Pontiac sustained total damage and was removed by J’s Southland Tow. The driver of the Pontiac sustained injuries and was transported to Research Medical Center by West Peculiar Fire for treatment. Cass County Deputies assisted at the scene.
