Casa, AR (November 11, 2024) – A tragic accident on State Highway 10 claimed the life of a pedestrian. The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. in Perry County during rainy conditions that left the roadway wet.
According to the initial report, an unidentified vehicle traveling west on State Highway 10 struck 37-year-old Devan Swiney, a Casa resident, who was walking along the highway. The vehicle continued westbound without stopping, leaving Swiney to come to rest in the westbound lane. Emergency responders pronounced him deceased at the scene, and his body was transported to the Perry County Coroner’s Office.
