Carlos, MN – 86-Year-Old Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision at Hwy 29 & Douglas CR 13

Carlos, MN (September 5, 2024) – A two-vehicle collision occurred Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Hwy 29 and Douglas CR 13. The crash involved a southbound Ford F150, driven by 86-year-old Clifford Leo Barten of Carlos, and an eastbound Ford Ranger. Barten sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Alomere Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, 41-year-old Jeremy Jon Arvidson of Eagle Bend, was uninjured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and no airbags deployed. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Carlos Fire Department assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
