Carlisle, PA (February 23, 2025) – Fire crews from multiple departments responded to a massive five-alarm apartment fire on Veterans Way in Carlisle on Saturday evening.
Photos and videos from the scene showed flames shooting out of the building as firefighters worked tirelessly to contain the blaze. Carlisle Fire Services, along with Cumberland Goodwill EMS, were among the agencies battling the fire, which caused extensive damage throughout the apartment complex.
Officials reported that the roof was completely lost, and every unit in the building sustained fire, smoke, or water damage. Three individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Red Cross stepped in to assist the displaced residents, providing food, shelter, and emotional support.
Crews remained on the scene overnight to monitor and address any lingering hot spots. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by Carlisle Fire Services.
