Canton Township, MI (September 10, 2024) – A man sustained serious injuries in a car accident Monday in a residential backyard. The incident occurred around 2:40 p.m. near Saltz Rd and Redfern St, involving a pedestrian and a red 2014 GMC Acadia driven by an 81-year-old Canton woman. The 52-year-old male pedestrian was seriously injured but is expected to survive. Both the pedestrian and the driver were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The SUV left the road, struck a garage, and then hit the man in a neighboring backyard. Police stated that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
