Callaway, MO (September 20, 2024) – A serious multi-vehicle accident occurred on Friday evening at approximately 5:40 p.m. on southbound US 63 at Renz Farm Rd. The incident involved three vehicles and prompted a response from local law enforcement and emergency services.
According to the investigation conducted by CPL C.A. Winter and other responding officers, the crash occurred when a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by 46-year-old Jonathan C. Aquino from Springfield, MO, and a 2017 Toyota Camry, driven by 18-year-old Sophia R. Ling from Lake Ozark, MO, were stopped due to construction. A 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, operated by 23-year-old Nathaniel A. Dickinson from Linn, MO, failed to stop in time and struck the rear of the Dodge Grand Caravan. The force of the impact caused the Dodge to collide with the Toyota Camry.
All three vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene by Kendall’s Towing. Fortunately, all drivers were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash. However, Nathaniel Dickinson suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Capital Region Hospital by Callaway County EMS for further evaluation and treatment.
