California, MD (October 1, 2024) – On September 30, 2024, at approximately 10:15 AM, fire and rescue personnel responded to a kitchen fire with injuries on Lizson Court, near Bethson Street.
Upon arrival, crews discovered the home filled with smoke and found one individual suffering from burns. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) initially requested a MEDEVAC for the injured person; however, the request was unable to be fulfilled due to adverse weather conditions. As a result, the patient was transported by ground to MedStar Washington Burn Center for further treatment. A second individual at the scene opted to refuse medical care.
