Byron Township, MI (November 1, 2024) – A tragic incident occurred Thursday night when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Byron Township. The accident took place near the intersection of 68th Street and Creekstone Lane at approximately 7:30 PM, as reported by the Kent County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO).
According to authorities, a westbound Honda Odyssey collided with the pedestrian, a man from Kentwood. Despite the efforts of first responders to save him, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver of the vehicle, a 39-year-old woman from Gaines Township, was unharmed in the crash. The KCSO is actively investigating the circumstances that led to this unfortunate event.
