Butler, PA (January 19, 2025) – Emergency responders were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident (MVA) on Freeport Rd at Great Belt Rd. The accident resulted in injuries and blocked traffic in the area.
The crash first reported at approximately 5:39 PM, involved two vehicles—one of which ended up in a nearby field while the other remained on the road. Initial reports indicated that the road was completely blocked, causing significant traffic disruptions. Emergency crews from Stations 15 and 45 were dispatched to the scene, followed by additional units from Station 99 due to the high demand for resources.
Emergency responders from Butler Fire and Rescue assessed and treated three individuals involved in the crash. Two patients were reported to have chest pain, while another experienced a panic attack. Fortunately, command officials confirmed there was no entrapment in the vehicles. Ambulances from Station 45 and Station 99 transported the injured individuals to Butler Memorial Hospital (BMH) for further care.
