NITTEC initially reported the road closure from Broadway to Love Rd due to the crash. Officials from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the presence of a deceased body at the scene. Grand Island Central School District Superintendent Brian Graham confirmed that the victim was an eighth-grade student.
