Brooksville, FL (January 7, 2025) – A 40-year-old Spring Hill man tragically lost his life in a motorcycle crash on Monday evening at the intersection of US-41 and Powell Rd in Brooksville. The collision occurred when a northbound Chevy Silverado collided with the motorcyclist’s Suzuki motorcycle.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the accident happened as the Silverado, driven by a 39-year-old man from Weeki Wachee, attempted to make a left turn onto Powell Rd. The vehicle turned into the path of the oncoming motorcycle, leading to the fatal collision.
The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Silverado sustained only minor injuries. FHP has stated that the crash remains under investigation to determine the exact circumstances.
