Brighton, NY (February 2, 2025) – One person has died, and several others were injured following a two-vehicle crash late Friday evening on S Winton Rd in Brighton.
According to reports, emergency responders arrived at the scene to extricate four individuals trapped inside one of the vehicles. Brighton Police confirmed that three of those occupants sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment. The driver of the other vehicle was also injured but has since been treated and released from the hospital.
Authorities stated that initial findings suggest inclement weather may have contributed to the collision, though the investigation remains ongoing. As of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the accident.
Crews from the Brighton Fire Department, Brighton Volunteer Ambulance, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, and the New York State Police assisted at the scene. Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the crash to call 911 and request to speak with a Brighton Police supervisor.
