Bridgeport, CT (October 22, 2024) – A serious pedestrian accident occurred on Monday night when a man in his 60s was struck by a vehicle on Pequonnock Street near Park Avenue. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene just before 9:45 p.m. following reports of a crash involving a pedestrian who was found on the ground and unable to move.

Darryl Wilson of the Bridgeport Police Department, preliminary investigations revealed that a 2011 Acura MDX, driven by a 59-year-old man from Bridgeport, was heading west on Pequonnock Street when the pedestrian was struck while attempting to cross the street from the westbound sidewalk. The driver of the Acura and a 25-year-old passenger reported no injuries.
