Bridgeport, CT (November 29, 2024) – A holiday fire in Bridgeport has left several families without a home after a blaze broke out on the third floor of an apartment building on the 700 block of Hallett St. The fire, which was reported at 6:56 PM, reportedly started in the oven and quickly spread to the walls and floors of the apartment.
Firefighters responded promptly, using handlines and opening up the walls and floors to extinguish hotspots and contain the fire.
The fire has left three adults, two children, and three pets displaced. The Red Cross has stepped in to assist the affected families, providing emergency shelter and essential supplies.
