Bridge City, LA (January 20, 2025) – A tragic house fire in Bridge City claimed the life of an older adult man late Sunday night. Firefighters and deputies responded to the scene in the 200 block of Oak Dr around 11:50 PM.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Bridge City Volunteer Fire Company arrived to find the residence fully engulfed in flames. Fire crews worked diligently to extinguish the fire, but upon entering the home, they discovered an unresponsive man suffering from severe fire-related injuries. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released, and officials are actively investigating the cause of the fire. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and the Bridge City community during this difficult time.
