Breckenridge, CO (November 13, 2024) – A tragic collision occurred Tuesday evening on Highway 9 near Tiger Rd, north of Breckenridge, claiming the life of one individual and injuring another. The crash, involving two vehicles, was reported around 5:30 PM, according to Colorado State Patrol.
Emergency responders transported one injured person to a local hospital for medical treatment, while the scene was closed to southbound traffic for over three hours. During this time, alternating traffic was permitted through the area as investigators from Colorado State Patrol worked to determine the cause of the crash. The highway was fully reopened at 8:51 PM.
