Fatal Truck Accidents in Mississippi
Accidents involving 18-wheelers are often catastrophic due to the size and weight of these vehicles. Highways like Interstate 20 see frequent truck traffic, increasing the risk of rollovers, jackknife crashes, and multi-vehicle collisions.
According to the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT), large truck accidents account for a significant number of fatal crashes in the state each year. Common causes include driver fatigue, mechanical failures, poor road conditions, and high-speed travel.
Families who lose a loved one in a truck accident often face emotional and financial hardships, including medical bills, funeral expenses, and loss of income. If a crash is caused by negligence or improper vehicle maintenance, victims’ families may have legal options to seek compensation for damages.
