Brainerd, MN (February 14, 2025) – An injury crash was reported at Highway 371 and Willow St in Crow Wing County on Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred at approximately 10:37 AM when a Toyota Camry traveling east on Willow St failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a Ram 3500 on Highway 371. Brainerd Police Department, Fire, and North Ambulance responded to assist those involved.
The Toyota Camry’s driver, 32-year-old Remone Leroy Simpson of Breezy Point, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. His passenger, 25-year-old Fabion Theodore Gardner, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the same facility for treatment.
The Ram 3500 driver, a 17-year-old female from Duluth, was not injured. However, one of her passengers, 53-year-old Tammy Jo Carter of Duluth, sustained non-life-threatening injuries but did not require hospitalization. Another passenger, 37-year-old Anastacia Lynn Marie Viele, was uninjured.
Authorities confirmed that all individuals were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and no alcohol was involved. The road was reported to be dry at the time of the accident.
The Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) continues to investigate the incident.
