Bradenton, FL (January 27, 2025) – A 63-year-old pedestrian tragically lost his life after being struck by an SUV on Saturday evening in Bradenton. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the accident occurred at approximately 7:20 p.m. on U.S. 41 (14th Street West) just north of 69th Avenue West.
Authorities reported that the man, a resident of Omaha, Nebraska, was crossing U.S. 41 from east to west when he was hit by a southbound SUV traveling in the middle lane. Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to a local hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the SUV, a 33-year-old Bradenton man, was uninjured in the crash. FHP confirmed that the incident remains under investigation.
