Bradenton, FL (September 12, 2024) – A 62-year-old woman was seriously injured after a pickup truck struck her while she was bicycling on U.S. 41 Tuesday night. The incident occurred at 11:21 PM, south of 57th Ave W. The woman was riding her bike north in the southbound lane and entered the truck’s path.

Emergency responders transported the cyclist to HCA Florida Blake Hospital with serious injuries. The 37-year-old truck driver was unharmed in the collision.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash and are expected to provide more details as they become available.
