Hit-and-Run Accidents in Massachusetts
Hit-and-run accidents are serious crimes that leave victims and their families grappling with physical, emotional, and financial hardships. In urban areas like Boston, high traffic volumes and complex intersections can increase the likelihood of such incidents.
Drivers are legally required to remain at the scene of any accident they are involved in, regardless of fault. Failing to do so can lead to severe legal consequences, including criminal charges. Law enforcement agencies, like the Boston Police Department, work diligently to locate hit-and-run drivers and bring them to justice.
For victims of hit-and-run accidents, seeking immediate medical care is crucial. Additionally, collecting evidence, such as witness statements and surveillance footage, can assist in identifying the responsible party and pursuing legal recourse.
