Boone County, WV (January 27, 2025) – A tragic fire in the Seth area of Boone County early Monday morning claimed the life of one man, according to Boone County Emergency Management.
The fire was reported at approximately 6:40 AM in the 4400 block of Prenter Road. Emergency crews arrived to find flames already visible from the home. Despite their efforts, the Fire Marshal confirmed that a man died in the blaze.
Investigators believe the fire originated on the left side of the home near a chimney. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and no further details about the victim or the incident have been released at this time.
