Bonita Springs, FL (November 10, 2024) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver along Bonita Beach Road SE, just east of Imperial Parkway, on Friday evening. The incident occurred at approximately 7:41 p.m., prompting an emergency response from Bonita Springs Fire and Lee County EMS.
First responders classified the 41-year-old male victim as a “Trauma Alert” and transported him to Gulf Coast Medical Center for urgent medical treatment. His current condition remains undisclosed.
Fire and EMS crews temporarily blocked the westbound lanes of Bonita Beach Rd SE while attending to the victim and securing the area. The road has since reopened. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash and working to locate the vehicle and driver responsible for the hit-and-run.
