Bonita Springs, FL (January 27, 2025) – A devastating motorcycle accident on Saturday night claimed the life of a 27-year-old rider in Bonita Springs.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of US-41 and Foley Rd after reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the incident occurred as a motorcycle was traveling south on US-41 in the center lane. At the same time, a 19-year-old driver from Cape Coral, stopped at the Foley Rd intersection, entered the roadway and struck the side of the motorcycle.
Despite the swift response of medics and other first responders, the motorcyclist succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene. The driver of the SUV and her passenger were unharmed in the crash. Investigators are currently working to determine the circumstances leading to the collision.
