Blountsville, AL (January 27, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision in the Summit Fire Department territory on Sunday morning resulted in one fatality and two injuries. According to the Blountsville Fire and Rescue Department (BFRD), the crash involved a fire and entrapment, prompting a mutual aid request and a robust emergency response.
BFRD, along with units from Cullman County, arrived on the scene to find three individuals in need of urgent medical attention. Tragically, despite resuscitation efforts, one person succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Another victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital for critical care, while a third individual was transported by Lifeguard EMS for further treatment.
