Blount County, AL (September 7, 2024) – A head-on collision on Friday afternoon, September 6 left one person dead and another injured. The crash occurred at 3:20 p.m. on AL-160, roughly eight miles southwest of Hayden. 

Gregory S. Cantrell, 64, of Cleveland, was tragically killed in the accident. He was driving a Toyota Avalon when it collided head-on with a Toyota Highlander driven by 65-year-old Annette W. Lake of Warrior, who sustained injuries.
