Big Lake, MN (November 15, 2024) – A two-vehicle accident on westbound Highway 10 at Eagle Lake Rd in Sherburne County on Friday evening resulted in one individual sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash occurred around 8:08 PM when a 2016 Ford F150, traveling eastbound on Highway 10, collided with a 2021 Jeep Compass heading westbound at the intersection with Eagle Lake Rd. Emergency responders from Big Lake Police Department, Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, Big Lake Fire Department, and CentraCare Ambulance quickly arrived on the scene to assist.
Michael Jonathon Stromberg, 51, of Big Lake, MN, the driver of the Jeep Compass, was transported to Monticello Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The airbags in his vehicle deployed during the collision, likely mitigating the severity of his injuries. The driver of the Ford F150, Victoria Renee Hammer, 76, of Starbuck, MN, was not injured in the crash. Both drivers were reported to have been wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor.
