Berlin, WI (January 24, 2025) – A 65-year-old man tragically lost his life after being struck by a truck while in a crosswalk on Thursday afternoon. The fatal incident occurred at approximately 2:11 p.m. on January 23 at the intersection of Huron St.
According to the Berlin Police Department, the accident happened when a 20-year-old man driving a Dodge Ram turned westbound onto Huron St and hit the pedestrian. Emergency responders arrived on the scene and transported the victim to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the Dodge Ram was not injured and is not suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident.
