Berkeley County, SC (January 12, 2025) – A devastating head-on collision claimed the lives of two drivers Saturday night in Berkeley County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The crash occurred around 8:39 p.m. on College Park Rd, approximately two miles west of Summerville.
Authorities report that a 2018 Dodge Ram traveling eastbound on College Park Rd collided head-on with a 2017 Dodge Durango at the intersection of Edgebrook Dr. The driver of the Dodge Durango, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The Dodge Ram had two occupants. Both were transported to the hospital, where the driver later died from their injuries. The condition of the passenger remains unknown.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office is withholding the names of the deceased pending notification of their families. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
