Beloit, WI (January 15, 2025) – A serious collision on I-39/90 northbound near Beloit on Tuesday morning left one person with life-threatening injuries. The crash, involving a pickup truck and a semi tractor-trailer, occurred at approximately 6:40 a.m. near the Town of Turtle, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.
Officials reported that the pickup truck was traveling northbound on the highway when it lost control, spun into other lanes, and collided with the semi. Emergency Medical Services transported the driver of the pickup to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The driver of the semi was unharmed.
The interstate was closed for about two hours to allow emergency crews to clear the scene and for authorities to begin their investigation. A post-crash inspection of the semi and a reconstruction of the crash is being conducted by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
