Bellevue, WA (October 17, 2024) – A tragic pedestrian accident occurred Tuesday night, resulting in the death of a 3-year-old girl on SE 4th Street. The incident took place shortly after 7 p.m. at an apartment complex located in the 14100 block area.
According to Bellevue Police, the young girl was walking with her mother in the apartment complex when a 45-year-old man driving a Chevy Silverado pickup truck backed into a parking stall. Unfortunately, the vehicle struck the child, who was within 6 to 10 feet of her mother at the time of the accident.
Despite immediate life-saving efforts attempted by both the mother and the driver, the young girl succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The driver remained at the location and cooperated fully with the ongoing investigation.
