Bellevue, NE (December 30, 2024) – A Bellevue family has been displaced, and one individual was hospitalized following a devastating house fire this morning. The fire broke out at a residence near Fairfax Rd and Wilroy Rd around 8:30 a.m.
According to the Bellevue Fire Department (BFD), a woman was transported to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. Four dogs were rescued by firefighters, while three additional dogs managed to escape the house on their own. Thankfully, no other injuries were reported.
Officials described the home as a total loss. An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
