Beavercreek Township, OH (January 18, 2025) – A tragic three-car crash on US-35 West near Alpha Rd claimed the life of a 66-year-old woman on Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 10:27 AM, according to a spokesperson from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Preliminary reports indicate that a 36-year-old driver of a Honda Odyssey was traveling westbound on US-35 when they struck the back of two vehicles. The Honda first collided with a Nissan Kicks driven by Robin Phillips, 66, of Xenia. The impact forced the Nissan off the right side of the road. The Honda continued westward and rear-ended a Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 54-year-old before it, too, veered off the right side of the road.
Phillips tragically succumbed to her injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the Honda suffered minor injuries, while the driver of the Chevrolet escaped unharmed. Authorities suspect drug use may have contributed to the collision, but the investigation is ongoing.
Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of Robin Phillips during this difficult time.
