Beatrice, NE (January 28, 2025) – A three-vehicle crash in north Beatrice on Tuesday afternoon resulted in injuries and sent one person to the hospital. The accident occurred at approximately 2:25 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 77 and Industrial Row.
According to local reports, a 38-year-old Beatrice man was driving a Nissan Altima southbound on US-77 when he entered the intersection as the traffic signal changed from yellow to red. At the same time, a Chevrolet Express driven by a 27-year-old Papillion man was making a left turn onto Industrial Row. The Nissan struck the Chevrolet on the passenger side, causing it to slide sideways into a third vehicle that was stopped at a red light.
Emergency responders transported the driver of the Nissan to Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment of injuries. Meanwhile, two occupants of the stopped vehicle, who were from Summerfield, Kansas, chose to seek medical care on their own. The crash also resulted in a knocked-over median sign.
