Baton Rouge, LA (January 11, 2025) – A driver was killed in a two-vehicle crash on I-10 West near Dalrymple Dr early Saturday morning. The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to the incident, which occurred just before 2 a.m. and involved an Acura and a Hyundai.
Authorities reported that the Acura was traveling the wrong way on the interstate when it collided head-on with the Hyundai. The driver of the Acura, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not yet been released.
Three passengers in the Acura sustained moderate injuries and were transported to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the Hyundai also suffered moderate injuries and was hospitalized.
The crash remains under investigation by local law enforcement as they work to determine the factors contributing to the wrong-way driving incident.
