Barstow, CA (December 20, 2024) – A hit-and-run collision with injuries occurred last night on I-15 northbound near the Alton Rd off-ramp, just north of Afton. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported the incident, which resulted in injuries and prompted a response from emergency personnel.
The crash was initially reported at approximately 9:31 PM, with the reporting party stating that their vehicle was struck while on the shoulder of the highway. Following the collision, the other vehicle involved fled the scene. CHP reclassified the incident from a non-injury hit-and-run to a hit-and-run with injuries shortly after their arrival.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, arriving at 9:46 PM to provide assistance. Tow services were requested to clear the damaged vehicle from the area.
