Barry County, MO (January 31, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 37, one mile south of Butterfield, on Thursday afternoon, leaving one person injured.
According to reports, the crash took place at approximately 1:19 PM when a 2024 Ford F-350, driven by a 24-year-old man from Warren, MI, veered off the right side of the roadway. At the same time, a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, driven by a 64-year-old woman from Cassville, attempted to turn in front of the Ford, leading to a collision that caused extensive damage to both vehicles.
Emergency responders, including Mercy EMS, arrived at the scene and transported the driver of the Chevrolet to Mercy Cassville for treatment of injuries. Both drivers were reported to have been wearing their safety devices at the time of the crash.
Following the collision, both vehicles were towed from the scene by Thomas Towing and Brice’s Towing. Authorities, including Corporal T. Coffey of Missouri State Highway Patrol, are investigating the incident to determine any additional contributing factors.
