Multi-Vehicle Collisions in Maryland
Four-car pileups and other multi-vehicle crashes are among the most dangerous types of traffic accidents due to the increased likelihood of chain-reaction impacts, multiple injuries, and extensive property damage. These accidents often occur due to:
- Tailgating and Sudden Braking – Following too closely can result in chain-reaction crashes when one driver stops suddenly.
- Distracted Driving – A driver looking at their phone or being inattentive may not notice traffic slowing ahead.
- Reckless Lane Changes – Cutting across multiple lanes or failing to check blind spots can cause multiple vehicles to collide.
- Adverse Weather Conditions – Rain, fog, or slick roads can reduce visibility and vehicle control.
Victims of multi-vehicle crashes may suffer from whiplash, fractures, head trauma, spinal injuries, or internal damage, requiring ongoing medical care and rehabilitation. Those injured due to another driver’s negligence may have the right to pursue compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
If you or a loved one has been involved in a multi-car accident, seeking legal guidance can help protect your rights and secure the necessary support for recovery.
