Bakersfield, CA (March 9, 2025) – A pedestrian lost their life after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 178 near Union Avenue on Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The accident occurred at approximately 3:01 p.m. when a vehicle struck the pedestrian under circumstances that remain under investigation.
