Azle, TX (October 30, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred early Tuesday morning involving a pedestrian and a pickup truck, resulting in the death of a woman. The incident took place just after 6:30 a.m. near Boyd Rd, off of Jacksboro Highway.
According to the Azle Police Department, a Ford F-150 was merging onto Boyd Road from NW Parkway when it struck the woman who was crossing the road. The impact caused serious injuries, and she was transported to a local hospital for medical care. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival.
The identity of the woman will be released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office once her next of kin has been notified. At this time, Azle Police do not anticipate filing any charges against the driver involved in the incident.
