Avon, CO (September 20, 2024) – A significant accident occurred early Friday morning, September 20 along I-70, involving two semi-trucks. According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash took place around 4:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of the highway, just west of Avon.
Preliminary reports indicate that a westbound truck veered through the left shoulder barrier and into the eastbound lanes, colliding with a semi-truck that was traveling east. The occupants of the eastbound truck, two individuals, were transported to a local hospital, although their current conditions remain unknown. Fortunately, the driver of the westbound truck did not sustain any injuries.
