Austin, TX (September 7, 2024) – A pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Friday night. The accident occurred around 10:08 p.m. at the intersection of S Congress Ave and Lightsey Rd. Austin-Travis County EMS medics performed CPR at the scene and managed to regain the victim’s pulse.

The injured pedestrian was transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center in critical condition. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident, and no further updates on the pedestrian’s condition have been released. The investigation is ongoing.
